Action Plans
- Increase other forms of renewable energy which will reduce the amount of pollutants released into the atmosphere. Renewable forms of energy includes wind, solar, geothermal, hydroelectric energies which are less harmful to the environment as they produce no harmful substances.
- Stop
defrost ration. Plant trees and terrance hills to stop erosion and prevent
mudslides and landslides during the rainy seasons.
- A combination of increased awareness (education), behavior change, and technology about the effects and the consequences of rapid population growth.
- Recycle materials, manufacture and purchase items that have a long life.For example, electronic devices should be designed so that the majority of components are reused.
- Preserve Earth’s resources. Humans use resources and deposit waste aimlessly. Industrialized countries must control their use of resources and dispose of wastes in a planned, organized, environmentally friendly way. Developing must grow their economies so resources are available to the people to reduce deforestation.
- The significance of ecological footprint and available biocapacity for national development, valuation of ecological services, and international agreements should be explored to protect biodiversity. Ecological budget must also be used to support biodiversity
- Limit water consumption. Developed countries should cut back on water consumption where applicable.
- Limit constructions of buildings in cities and the size of houses
- Restrict what people can do with their land or pass laws that puts a limit to deforestation
- Clean up the ocean’s garbage
- One- child policy in overpopulated countries
